The founder of the Bluestones Group, Steven Pendergast, has been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the inaugural High Sheriff of Cheshire Awards.
The event was attended by distinguished companies across the Cheshire region on Thursday 22nd March and was hosted by business motivational speaker and former NBA basketballer John Amaechi.
The Entrepreneur of the Year award invited nominations from candidates running a business that had experienced growth in turnover, jobs creation, developed in new markets and had long-term potential.
Oliver Yeates, part of the Cheshire business leaders panel that made the decision to grant Pendergast the award, said, “Steven had an excellent application supported by an excellent interview which gave me and the other judges a detailed insight into the incredible growth his business had seen over such a short period of time. We were all impressed with Steven’s entrepreneurial attitude and the huge amount of hard work that has gone into building the business which has created 150 new jobs for the local area.”
