Bluestones Investment Group has enhanced its education staffing provision with the launch of The NQT Partnership. Managing director, Ashley Atmore, launched the business in response to the well-documented, widening qualified teacher shortage in London.
Atmore commented,
I’ve been supporting London schools with their Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) recruitment for 5 years and in that time have helped over 300 schools find great quality first-time teachers. As an ex-Primary Teacher myself, I know first-hand that our school system is losing on average of 40-50% of it’s workforce within 5 years of qualifying; I wanted to focus on the level of ongoing support post-appointment for all new teachers by supporting them not just with finding a job, but by offering something extra and helping wherever possible to make their crucial induction year a successful one.
Paul Broderick, CEO Specialist Staffing, said,
Education staffing is a core sector for the Bluestones Investment Group, so when Ashley approached us with the idea of The NQT Partnership, we jumped at the chance to be involved. Teacher recruitment and retention is a massive issue in the sector – we need to do what we can to ensure new entrants into our schools get off to as successful a start as possible and set themselves up correctly for a great career.
